Lose yourself in 250 acres of ancient woodland, right on your door step, there's something to see in every season on either foot, horse or cycle. Doddington Hall is well worth a visit. A fine late Elizabethan Mansion, it takes an hour to walk to the hall through The Old Wood along the bridleways making a really enjoyable day out.
Hire a bike from the Heritage Centre in the village, take a ride via the sustrans network cycle route and along the Fossedyke canal.
We are close to a number of RAF bases including RAF Scampton, home of the Red Arrows, who can be seen practicing overhead here.


The city of Lincoln blends historic charm and modern culture. Stroll along the cobbled streets of the historic Bailgate area. Visit the majestic Lincoln Cathedral and discover the rich history of the Lincoln Castle.
The Magna Carta Exhibition is back to the city in 2015. Sample the city's shopping and dining scene at St Marks Shopping Centre or the Brayford Marina in the heart of Lincoln.
Tour the museums and art galleries, including The Collection, Usher Gallery and Museum of Lincolnshire Life.
It's a short drive to the Lincolnshire Showground, where a number of festivals, events and shows take place each year.


The market town of Newark is 20 minutes away by car. Newark hosts its international antiques fair every other month.
The Northgate Railway Station offers a 1 hour direct service to London Kings Cross.
